North Carolina ChalleNGe Program 25th Anniversary

The National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program was developed and implemented in 1993 in various states across the US.  The first ChalleNGe program in North Carolina opened their doors on March 28, 1994.  With a dropout rate of 1 in 5 students in North Carolina, there was a recognized need for a second academy and New London was chosen as the new site.  Since its program inception, TCA has graduated over 5,600 cadets.
