Tarheel ChalleNGe Academy’s Class Walkathon was conducted to raise funds for the cadets and for scholarships. The walkathon was led by Director McNeill. Walkathon is a fun activity for the Cadets, Mentors, and Staff.
On Oct, 2019, a ceremony was held for Cadets earning a certificate of completion from the Extended Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) sponsored by the NC Cooperative Extension Agency, NC State University, and NC A &T State University. On September 20, 2019, Tarheel ChalleNGe Academy traveled to Raleigh to visit the State Capitol. They toured the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science, Legislative Building, State Capitol and North Carolina Museum of History. The Cadets enjoyed a fun-filled day of learning the History of North Carolina.
