Hurricane Florence Clean-Up

Hurricane Florence Clean-Up

Hurricane Florence made landfall in North Carolina on Friday, September 14 striking the southern coast at Wrightsville Beach and then lingering over the state causing widespread flooding.  Estimated damages to the state totaled over $16 billion dollars.  Tarheel Challenge Academy cadets stepped up to help the senior citizens of Spring Lake in Cumberland County.  Cadets assisted the community in removing furniture, rubbish, and carpet from water damaged homes of senior citizens.  TCA cadets were eyewitness to the benefit of service to community and appreciation for what they provided to these citizens who had little to no help in trying to recuperate from the damages their homes sustained.
