National Read Across America Day

On Monday, March 2, members of the TCA New London Cadet Advisory Board visited Central Elementary School located in Albemarle, NC to help celebrate National Read Across America Day 2020 by reading books to CES 4th grade students.

Each cadet chose the book he/she wanted to read to the class based on identifying with the subject of the book. Cadet Williams chose “Teamwork Isn’t My Thing, and I Don’t Like to Share.” She told the class of 4th graders this was how she felt when she first came to TCA but has learned how important teamwork and sharing are. Both cadets and students enjoyed the morning and learned from each other.
