TCA-NL Class 53 D&C Competition

Saturday, November 9, 2019, Tarheel ChalleNGe Academy – New London held the Drill & Ceremony competition for Class 53 and cadets enjoyed seeing their families for the first time since inprocessing was held on October 14.

At the beginning of each new class, candidates begin the process of learning to march as well as learning various required precision movements and turns. Candidates prepare both a regulation and fancy drill during the first four weeks of the program that culminates in the Drill & Ceremony competition. This aspect of the program helps to instill teamwork and camaraderie between the candidates. This ceremony also marks the transition of our enrolled individuals from candidate to cadet status.
